As always johnmacnab you are making me laugh... the camera being hidden in the washer-dryer was classic comedy (smiles).. well done to Ell, and well done to you for even attempting 50,000 words on demand...!

You didn't need the camera
although I'd still love to see the shots. You're writing was as good as any camera. As for the word tally, isn't that great, that's 25000 words you didn't have a month ago.

Re: I love the way you tell these stories of frustration and shining moments
Thank you very much Pat.  I've read the last few of your posts and am amazed at your word count - not only that but the quality of your word count. [sorry for the lack of comment but I'll get there soon]  You are the person who is making me stubborn enough to keep going.  I'll get those 50,000 words if I croak in the attempt.  One thing I keep forgetting as I attempt to catch up is the word 'fun,' but perhaps the fun part will come with the editing.

I love the way you tell these stories of frustration and shining moments
of celebration all woven together. The camera in the washer-dryer? Face painting, helmet and a blindfold? I'll bet she lets you take a photo of her holding the prize, though!  At least while you're stringing lights and tending to chores you'll be able to spin little bits for your NaNoWriMo story in your mind so you won't sit at the keyboard and stare at the screen ...write on!
