Hear that lonesome whistle blow.
I used to like the small freight train that passed through the night. Now I can sometimes hear the Amtrak Acela from my bedroom and always outside. It’s insight just around the corner. BC-A, Bill’s RJLst

I love the sound of the train too and have one out front on the farm across the way.

I sense 2 things here: You have a nack for the narrative, as well as knowing the meaning of what you are conveying. The print is a little large for me(I like 12pt/ no bold because I want to be told a story without entering someone's mind). That only means, like most any reader, I like to find things out for myself without being hit over the head.
What's the diff btw a story and a poem if it's not the approach to language and identities? Is there a diff btw the outside-in and the inside-out? Not much--its only the approach and the calibration of of language. In this one I hear both. Perhaps you might want to think about this.
