Kabu
Oh boy! I have followed this story from the beginning, of course, and had an inkling from the start that your poor Mum was taking a turn for the worse - I do hope you'll tell us in the next post that the medication had a lasting effect...

What a frightening experience for you. It's quite one thing to have that happen with a patient when you are a nurse. It's quite a different matter when it's happening to one you love.

It's horrible to see someone strong and capable change character
and become lost in their mind, dependent and distant. It's bad enough in a stranger, perhaps an Alzheimer's patient in a facility. But it's so much worse when it's your mom who disappears that way. You've told this so well.

Oh this hurts so. I hope I never get in such a situation. It is difficult for the spouse and children. My mom pulled some really wild tirades. This is so well written. Be blessed.

Oh, it is so curious how people can go from tantrum to tranquil, all in the same day...the human mind is a fascinating, somewhat frightening thing...good post. I'm anxious to see how this goes; and quite sorry for the pain you must have over this. So hard to see loved ones struggle.
