on Afghanistan . . .
there are about 140 - 160 k NATO troops (100k from other countries) there right now. This is a considerable force.
15k have been ordered there already by the President, but it takes time for those troops to be deployed. The question is whether or not another 20k are needed. Do you want to send in more American kids to be killed and maimed over there?
I am supposing the President is carefully considering the validity of such an action.
You have to remember that this costs money. And that money is not going back into the economy like money spent elsewhere does.
