Thank you, merkie! I appreciate your comment. I wish we giggled more as adults...we should!

...that's so funny you'd say that (and thank you, by the way)...I had a friend once that told me I was just not 'the mother type'...I'd just had my two year old escape me at the park...he was my escape artist...and she made that precious, thoughtful comment...but I disagreed, even at the time...we found him, incidentally...! So thanks for saying that, Elyse! You get a rose!

Awww this made me sigh and recall those days, yes when the baby girls grow up.  It's so hard, I know.  and you're precious how you love ~  You're a Mamma from the mammsy mould ~  ~ Elyse

Yeah, well I'm just that kind of a mom....loving, yet semi-abusive. Ask my kids, they'll tell ya!

I don't know what exactly to comment, but I liked the poem, the motherly love ... especially that one where you are muttering take my earrings, if you lose 'em, I'll name you (speaking to myself). WoW!

...if the truth were told, I went one year when I was 23....I'm short and look kinda young...I went with our babysitter on her last year (14). I got a lot of candy!

Yep...adulthood is pretty long, all right!...and very permanent...but that doesn't mean we can't be immature!....Immaturity can be forever! Yay!

There definitely were, and that's a good way to put it. Tugs of all sorts.

...She told me just yesterday that when she was ten, her grandma told someone she was 'ten going on twenty'....it's because she's an 'old soul', if you know what I mean. Thank you, Kabu!

Darson, I can remember walking with our two girls around the neighborhood
on Halloween and wearing a mask myself..lol...they were the princesses and I was their guardian gorilla.  (I waved at all the little kids when they went by so they knew I was friendly).....I think they went out til Grade 8, then willingly called it quits....

I still sneak out (just kidding...:)

The Last Trick or Treat
Everyone should experience that last "golden" summer of childhood.  Adulthood lasts a lot longer. joab
