I love this poem
I did however preach to my kids that come 18 it was YOYO time.  Your own your own.  So far this has been sound advice and few things are laid at my door.  I'm always willing to listen but they have to live with their decisions.

Sam - I'm there too and I can't remember when a phone call caused a dime. Lots of good messages there to follow though. Love you dearly and hope you have a lovely time reading. Loved the poem too.

Hi sam--We will be Mothers forever more-(and I thank God that I am and-
more to the point-feel priviledged that they feel they can reach out to me) However-I have learned how to 'pass the buck' on most issues-or at least divert some of their issues to alternative 'supporters'> Selfish perhaps but I need some 'time' for me! God bless--chris.ps.that's on my 'wiser' moments.

All of my children have had their problems, just as I had mine.  Undoubtedly their children will also go through the same things.  That's life.  Stand tall and brave, and keep the faith.

Detachment from close ones is difficult but essential !
It is not until the mother bird pushes her offsprings outa the nest, seemingly heartlessly, that the little birdies learn to fly. And when they do, the joy of watching them struggle and overcome hurdles on their own overcomes any misplaced guilt behind pushing them out. Best wishes, Ash

At times, I have had to let go of people and let God...move in their lives, adults have to arrive at their own decisions,  God Bless,

Our children can drive us mad! My mother used to say: 'One day you'll have a daughter !' We can't disconnect our children in the same way as we disconnect our phones, though sometimes.....
Have a restful Sunday!
