My 21 year old grandson participated in a Trunk or Treat event.  He did some puppets and handed out candy using their mouths to pick up and dispense to the little goblins.

We had a group of neighbors collect money to buy water bottles and

hot dogs and buns and then some sat along the sidewalk passing out candy in lines of parents. Some dads cooked the dogs, some made them into hot dogs with ketchup and mustard. One Dad, dressed as the Matrix fellow stood on his truck roof and called people into the area in front of the one house, saying funny things.

Then, some folks and children gathered and they left on a hayride around the neighborhood, trick or treating for about an hour and one half....off of the ride. Funny music played, one eyed one horned flying purple people eater, etc.....

It was fun.

Neighbors on other streets had disco like rides for the kids to travel upon and trick or treat and then had bonfires in holders, food and drink and the party went on late as the kids passed out in the living room of the chosen house. Giant slumber party, supervised by laughing mommies and teens.........great fun. The dads were seen drinking beer and the beat went on.

One family passes out Bible tracts with candy and hot dogs up the road. Everyone goes an extra mile in this neighborhood.

I usually arrive with a van full of refugee children, but this year I did not. Wonderful what you did.
