Re: MLK's little known speech.
Preachers do LOVE to preach, northsage_45, and the mellifluous sounds of their own inspired words, lead them to believe that the speech should go on much longer than a human is meant to sit and listen.
I agree............and this was a long and winding speech.
But, the stand up and speak and don't be silent part of it was very important.
Too bad his cousin wasn't a t-shirt manufacturer, who would have taught him some pithiness, too.
And I do find that to get men to listen, you must speak more like a t-shirt than a preacher.

MLK's little known speech.
Abuelita,
Doctor king was eloquent in espousing his heartfelt opinion, regarding extremely important issues, but like every clergyman I have ever known, tended to be very long-winded. Marilyn is like this also, preferring to use a thousand words to say what I could have, with a DOZEN! I cannot convince her that while, much like that old saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words." if for no other reason than, that a picture is SILENT!"
Listening to the whole book, I consider to be wasted, valuable time, time that I can never get back! This drives me absolutely CRAZY, because I already know the book, by heart.

Re: benzinha
I have a rabid, bleeding heart, upset and looking for words and posts, kind of brother, the lawyer, who calls himself the Mad Piper and posts things like this and I live off of his research.
It is good, WileyJohn, to be from a huge family as they become your researchers, back up, etc. on their many computers.

Re: Thank you I read it,how wise was my hero.
Thanks for reading it Kabu, somethings must be dragged back out into the light of day, like Lincoln's speech at Gettysburg, etc.
