- Go to Lady Elliot Island...this is just a mother's pride.

Fabulous! And I hope he occasionally sends a postcard to that principal (probably retired by now), "From the useless one..."

What an awesome testimony in personal resolve! It is so disheartening when people are made to feel less than what their dreams are! Overcoming the the belittling and becoming successful was his design all along for me! I think this way because he doesn't seem to be bitter but wholesomely driven and those bad experiences from bullying and the like were solvable obstacles! KUDOS to your son! I think his strong mother was instrumental in his success as well! Your sam I am

Thank you so much for this success story. One more has risen out of the mistaken identity the school tried to put on him into a success story. Mum would not allow his nay sayers to bully him into believing he was less than all that he could be.

Bravo!!!

I have 1 son who is dyslexic. I never made a big deal out of it, but encouraged him to read and helped him. He is reading well now, even though I'm sure he will always have difficulty. My eldest daughter also has that problem and she said it's something she deals with. She is a teacher of younger hearing and deaf children.
