Kabu

Never been there, but hope to go some day - I have always been fascinated by Australia!

And maybe it's a blessing in disguise that Australia doesn't have the water to become a superpower - if you look around at the superpowers over the course of history - nothing but trouble...

One of my close friends is from Australia, so I get to learn a little about that country. I've never been to Canada, but almost once. I'm also enjoying the rains lately, as we are live on the dry side of Oregon.

I've always wanted to go there, but reading your post made me want to see it all that much more.

I've often wanted to see Australia. Especially the outback.
It seems to me the people from the land down under have the same pioneer spirit that the settlers of the western U.S. have. We make do, work with what we find, adapt to the conditions we face. There's an attitude of surviving and succeeding in the face of adversity that predominates in both areas. It will rain again. Let's hope it's a good, gentle "female" rain and not a big bad torrential gusher. But whatever comes, they'll deal with it.

Reading this makes me ashamed of the times I've grumbled about the rain!

I think she is fine the way she is! The superpower thing carries too many responsibilities! It is so sad that they have had to endure a ten year drought! Hard to even comprehend! Your sam I am

I like viewing Australia from your beautiful blues, Kabu ~ as I have always wanted to tour through.  I imagine you get homesick - I recall when living in Maine - and the cold and different terrain, oh yes, it was lovely but, nothing like familiar, familial terrain --- my Texas sweet Texas --- in my heart, throughout drought and (abundant) rain at times, the feel always stuck deep inside.  I am loving you today ~ and always, my Kabuski ~ xoxo Elysiekins
