I missed this post...been very busy.....however.....
I ust coment with a Jeffersonian quote.......
In the
Declaration of Independence Thomas Jefferson states: “But
when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the
same object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism,
it is their right,
it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.”

Re:
elysianfields~I looked into your research by clicking on "decisions" and I read some and then stropped, and made the decision not even to comment on my difference of opinion with Naut over the different reasons folks had for hating Bush and Obama. I commented back to Justi that my blog was more of philosophical conjecture than opinion even, so I was 'wimping' out of the discussion because I didn't want a discussion, I just wrote some 'thoughts' out of frustration. Yes Elyse my sister under God, we are of one mind with that and we send our

I agree with you, I don't know why people have tp resort to personal attacks. Yes I am feeling better and thank you my friend.

Justi~My prayers you've got luv, and laws are being tightened here as well. So we all have a lot to be upset about and I just shouldn't pay any more mind to it. I'm 73 too and I think too much some days. Now, in the best interests of love and friendship I'm going to 'wimp' out of a 'discussion' that I had only thought to be my philosophicaL conjecture.God Bless you and George.

Maybe in this forum people think they can write whatever they like (creative license or something like that) and perhaps they even do it to invoke a debate or a riled response. I stay away from these kinds of posts. They always leave a bad taste in my mouth. Thanks for sharing your thoughts but I bet turning a chalice was the best medicine to temper your disappointment with some of the things written in here.

Oh dear WileyJohn, I've not been reading a great deal of political forums, so I guess I don't really keep my finger on the pulse. As it is, I am not 'politically inclined...nor charged' --- it's too political for me

(if that makes sense) --- when I research the word, politics I find: "
Politics is a process by which groups of people make
decisions " --- and I stop right there, wondering which 'people' are making the (which) decisions, for me??? so, having said that I agree with Naut, President Bush had a lot more negative to contend with than this President and that's sad but true. And since Americans have always had such 'freedom' I think we do act out more liberally than other countries. and at times, it's a shame, a downright travesty and just base short of blessing. However, I for one just
try to stay focused on one thing...we are all a group of people in this big world and yes, I pray headed onward in our Journey to one big Leader's arms, and that would be God Almighty! I see by your turning out another Chalice that Sir, you are of that same thought ~ I commend you and I

you, my Brother ~ I send Love to both you and Kabu, praying you have a wonderful day --- Elyse of the Texas fields xoxox

As a rule, I prefer not to participate in debates about US domestic politics, unless they affect us Canadians directly (which might induce me to do a piece on Obama's 'Buy-American' policy, if I find the time)...
And about this hate thing, I suspect that over the years there was far more hate directed at Bush than has been thrown at Obama...

Thank you for bringing this up John. We may have different viewpoints about a number of things, however I too have been very surprised by some of the articles I've read on this site.
In any democracy it is the opposition's duty to point out government blunders and it's their right to campaign for their policies and prepare for the next election. However why is it necessary to resort to personal attacks on your opponents?
My today's blog is in a way about this subject.
Glad to hear you are feeling better now.

Dear Wiley
I thank you so very much. I am 73 years old and never have I known a time when so many freedoms have been taken away. I am a Christian and I hear people talk about Jesus being sweet. He never was He took the Chruch hierarchy who were those people who were also the Jewish Law or Leaders to task. God and or Jesus in the Holy Bible are just, frank, good in all cases and never a wimp of any sort. The history of our country is Judeo Christian and it has been trampled and twisted to make it secular. That is wrong. It is also totally wrong for this country not to stand completely with Isreal. I will trust God to keep me. In his word he tells us to shun Evil and what is happening to us is Evil! I have never seen anything so incredibly indecent as what is happening to this country right now. I have worked all my life and what has happened since last January has hit my area so hard we have no heat in our house and tomorrow we go to get help with electricity. This man is still spending money and he is trying to crash the capitalistic way of government. Thank you for all your work. Now I would appreciate your prayers. God bless you.

Excellent post, Wiley. You said what you had to say, then backed it up, then left it to the readers to think about it by going on to something else. I could use you at my negotiating table! I am glad you are feeling better, and am sure that your lady in Australia feels the well-wishing vibes you are sending her.

Wiley... Kabu is right... You are too filled with love to understand how can anybody inspire hate in others... and I agree with you that hate is a negative emotion... one that would be fantastic if we could eradicate from this world but unfortunately it is also one that sometimes actions and words can give birth to. Unfortunately... just like love, hate can not be legislated... I don't care how many laws are written to punish people for feeling it... they can only succeed in burying, hiding hate, not ending it. Love is the only solution to hate and only reconsidering the actions that inspired hate can we hope to end it. President or peasant it truly does not matter, no one can trample on other's rights and expect to be loved. so... ( and I know it is an annoying phrase... :-)) it is what it is Be well xoxoxo
