Much Needed For This Year
“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying
heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am
gentle and humble in heart, and you will
find rest for your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11: 28, 29, 30
My wife's Mom ( my Mother-In-Law of course) is 68. She has struggled in a battle with cancer for 2 years now. She had never used tobacco or drank or the usual 'pointed to' causes. The cancer went into a remission for a brief time but now is back with a vengeance. She went to Duke Hospital for a scheduled visit with her doctor on Thursday of this past week. Weeks ago the doctor had ended her treatments due to the teraing of her skin that had occurred previously. On Thursday the doctor informed all of us that she had 4-6 weeks to live. The doctor has set up the hostice care as well.
Needless to say that with my parents' Alzheimers and Parkinson's at age 85, my wife's Dad with deliberating effects from diabetes and the usual daily struggles in life, this time now has been difficult.
I thank you Sam for posting the above verse.Obviously, you can see where this verse is what my wife and I have been reading for weeks now.
Thanks again!
God bless you, Sam!
