Re: Kingme
Justi, That peace of mind can be found again, but we have to decide to radically change the structure of the curriculum.  THANKS!

Ciel, funny you should say that.  I had just commented to my daughter -- how do they expect ratings to rise for NBC by glorifying ignorance?  THANKS!

Very Interesting Post Here

Obviously with you being a teacher, we hear this from the horses's mouth. You can not get any closer to the truth than your own experience. It is also extremely interesting that you stated the only peace you had ever witnessed was at a Catholic elementary school. Then you went on to talk about the disrespect, open flagrant violation of rules, etc.; what does this tell all of us? I think it is glaring what you have said here without talking about the 1000 pound gorilla in the room.

No respect, complete disregard for the desire of an education and then your peaceful Catholic school. See what is missing? If the right message is taught from kindergarten onward then you would not have experienced this downfall. Yea, this nation keeps teaching evolution, has taken God out of the classrooms and obviously many parents do not care otherwise the children would have turned out better than what you have described here. I fault so many liberal approaches to life for the downfall you have seen. Then again when you have television sitcoms such as Roseanne back in that day which displayed a total disrespect for parents and authority then what do we expect? It is everything in our lives from sitcoms to a family not sitting down together to eat supper at the table that has resulted in this downfall in humanity.

GREAT POST!

Kingme
Wonderful post. I too joined a world of wonder in books early even before I began school they were treasures, and are still.

Some people think Jay Leno's street interviews are funny. I bet you don't.
