I like your poem, even if it isn't exactly a haiku - but you know that, having already been through the course (as usual, I was late in arriving for class, having to waste my time with things that are ultimately unimportant)...

Just call it Haikabu and make it your own.
It definitely says what you want it to say.

Not having anything wise to say about it being correct Haiku or not I'll just say hello and wish you all the best.

If it ain't Haiku, in the strict sense of the word,
it proves to me the pen's as good as a sword
to cut to the chase and describe the deed,
put a smile on our face, get us up to speed.

Ah yes --- what a fabulous stream of thought here ~ inspired moment and I love Haiku and Haiku moments

~ I judged poetry for a while, Kabuski --- and there was often an argument about 'Haiku' and rules of and this and that. I studied the greats --- along with me dear hubby and he is a stickler...we came to the conclusion that it is just as you write...Your stream of thought, Your inspiration - inspired moment.

~ but if you would like to visit an interesting website:
http://www.haikuoz.org/haiku_musings/ --- The Australian Haiku Society

I love your writing Haiku ~ Write on!!!

Kabuski I love you ~ Elyse

I'm not good with Haiku, but somehow you have to SHOW stormy
weather. Calling it stormy is telling, not showing...let me feel the rumble!
