Just catching up here again! I absolutely love your pictures as well as your narrative! As to the Turkish Lourdes, well, you probably know my view of 'visions' and 'miracles' and such, which are probably very close to your own.
On the other hand, the mind may well exercise greater power over our bodies than we normally think, and a strong belief that something will help us will sometimes actually suffice to bring about the desired effect. Hence also the well-known 'placebo effect'...

I'm continuing to enjoy these photos. I am so glad that those people's hard work is still being enjoyed to this day.
As for your question about visions I do believe in visions. I believe they happened in Biblical times, and I believe they happen today. I am sure that some are phony and/or come from the "imagination of an overwought person's mind," but I do believe that they are real.
