I would imagine that having a very supportive spouse would be very essential to creativity. If all one heard from a spouse was discouragement against writing I cannot see how anyone but the most hardened of souls would persevere.

Aww Ariala ~ don't stifle your creativity --- in any form that comes. I giggled at your remark about creativity and restoring a cabin...well yes, I call that a higher form of creativity. I cannot recall here how many homes we bought, restored and all it involves. In fact, our next adventure (even after I said, NO MORE) will need restoring. It takes a keen sense of 'creativity' to see what's in the bare bones. I appreciate all your endeavors - photography, poetry, editing, restoring (

) and certainly every morsel of inspiration you lend to readers, supporters, 'fam' here on blogit alone, as I know you are involved in other arenas and areas across board. It's wonderful you have your spouse, your partner to be beside you as you continually flutter like a butterfly (creativity always reminds me of a butterfly --- in all its stages) ~ I know he must adore you...and respect you above all. Now, I must get back to writing --- then rearranging some furniture - but, I couldn't resist just stopping by and chatting a bit with ya ~

I do believe there is a lot of jealousy because you make your creative
projects succeed where others don't even dare to try.Well done to your dear husband and soul mate.
