It certainly sounds as though you have your hands full. We have no pets now, but the cat is being cared for royally by Rachel-next-door (he has a whole flat to himself) and enjoying his last years.

Sure, the Wiley one takes Mr.Graysome down to his bed in the basement
cuddling and talking all the way.Places him on his soft warm chair tells him to sit like you would the dog,he sits, Wiley closes the door and we hear nothing for the rest of the night. Dear little man pussycat is so good.......sometimes.

I do not have a pet, by choice! And for the very reasons you stated, it's theirs, but they don't always take care of them! I adore being animal free! sam
