Your hair looks very nice indeed.
I've got naturally curly hair too. When I was in my teens I used to beg my mother to let me have it straightened; but oh, no, no, no. Later on the hairdresser advised me not to, because it would make it too dry. So, no I've never tried it.
I tame my hair by keeping it short, which seems to suit me better anyway. My photo is on my 'about me page'.

yes, I've had mine professionally straightened two
different times. My hair is naturally curly, so I have
to straighten it every day unless, I'm wearing it
up. When I had it done yes it was easier but I still
had to straighten it every few days, and it's so
expensive but I guess it costs no different than a
perm when those were in style.

iSis, I've never heard of types of hair like you describe...do a blog on it
sometime, LOL seriously.
Some people say my eyes are blue, others green...I call them stone gray LOL

I like it! You have such big beautiful green eyes, and such a winning smile. I have type 2A hair, which is fine and wavy now that it's going gray. It's very difficult to style. I think yours is probably type 3b.
