justi, I agreed with John McCain who argued effectively against from the

Re: John Kerry Leads Senate Plunder
possibly look into the details -- could be what is being cut is unnecessary -- Reagan and Bush Jr. -- and Congress - let military spending get way out of hand -- we need to rein it in -- a couple billion is a drop in the bucket -- as i say it just depends on what specifically is being cut.

that which is necessary should not be cut -- but that which is unnecessary . . .

John Kerry Leads Senate Plunder

Xeno .  .  .  consider this, billions of dollars were stripped from the military's Operation and Maintenance budget.  You do know that O & M covers everything from food, to fuel, to protection for our troops -- the right kind of protection while they are in harm's way.

I speak to this because my son has been to Iraq four times, and is now slated for Afghanistan, and the administration knows; but Obama hates the military more than Bill Clinton.  I do not wish him -- nor his comrades -- anything but the most superior technology, equipment, armor -- and the belief that we care about them dearly.

Obama does not present that case in my heart.  I know your political stance, and I respect it.  So, I am asking you . . . as a father . . . give a damn about my son's life and  not the $ spent.  Look around you.  Waste and fraud are having a picnic.  Check on their bloated bellies.  I would appreciate it.  Take care.  joab

thing is, the defense budget has been grossly overinflated
for the past several years, and has been the source of our massive national debt.

maybe this is bringing it down to reality.
