Incredible Post!

This is so inetresting. Know why? Because recently that very song by the Talking Heads has gone through my mind lately except with other versions of the lyrics, just like you have written here. That is weird. I had even given thought to writing a post in my blog extremely similar to the one you have here with a link to the video and song as well. It is so interesting that many people feel the same way these days. The apathy and ignorance is exactly what will bring this nation down. Too bad that we could not have made more people aware and to enable them to understand...I fear that can not be done.

GREAT POST!

politics and tyranny
I have to agree, that sadly, most Americans don't care about legislation until the legislation is passed and starts to directly affect them. With all of the health care bills that are trying to be passed, all I can think to say is that government based health care is a crock, and hasn't worked anywhere that it's been tried including the UK or Canada or Sweden.  Sadly communism doesn't work and hasn't since it was first tried, government based health care ...no matter what label is being put on it is in fact a giant step toward communism.   My only gripe with what you've written is that when the US government lends money to corporations', in essence like a large bank would, it should have the right to limit the pay scale of bulky upper management who even with the government limit would still make over a million a year.   Though I will agree that having the government telling corporations what to do is a dangerous precedent, the irresponsibility of the corporations in question may merit government interference.
