What a splendid idea to write a poem about your shadow. Yes, she is the only being who will never leave us, never betray us and always "take our side." Not to forget: she will never talk back to us! Thanks for your comment. I'm pleased to hear that the chain of events has happened to you too.

Seen against the backdrop of bright light,our shadow appears the darker. One more thing I realized from this picture is that the shadow cast is due entirely to our being an obstruction to light, and the shadow, while appearing real, does not have any existence of its own.
