Re:  mariposa75 ~
The news is full of the sadness of missing, exploited, and murdered children.  I don't see how people bear it.

It always makes me so sad when I see the "missing children" lists.  I am way more careful than I used to be. I have left children behind on trips (over many years) and was so relieved when we went back and they were safe.

This is a travesty --- so very very frightening but along with all the horrid statistics, yes...of the many many beautiful innocent souls lost, kidnapped, murdered --- This just blew me away; as I was part of the crowds watching this dreadful scene of that balloon ~ ohhhh  ~ Elyse

I cannot imagine those feelings. The only thing I can say is that it must be worse than anything that can happen to a person.

It was wonderful he was found unharmed! I felt so bad for the father! Trying to make an impression and scared him as much as he scared them! It would be wonderful if kids were found in droves! We have two missing in my area since October 9. Both headed to school! Sometimes it is just too crazy! These are small towns, too! It's not expected! sam

I was so worried for him and didn't know what to think.
He's just a little boy and his parents are teaching him tobe curious. Well he was just being curious. If I pull this and I undo that and I..........ooooooooooooops.

TAPS
Those stats are staggering. That is just the very worst thing. I always look at the wall of photographs on walls or anywhere they are and pray for them. I cannot fathom the pain.

Taps - Children go missing here too nearly every day and it's an awful thing. I can imagine the grief the parents go through. My niece went missing once and for days at end we were looking for her in anguish and fear. She was in her teens and it was peer pressure. Thank God she came back home safe and sound. Yes I hope they will all be found too.

TAPS. ...these are some terrifying stats...if I had young children, at this

point I would never go without checking them on a very timely and regular basis...

This goes back a ways, but I still remember when one of my sister's children disappeared for about an hour...a very loose neighborhood watch soon found him following a dog.....whew!
