I am going to love "Olive" ~
Actually, my mother's baby sister was named Olive (the baby of the family of 8) and she died at 1 yr old back in 1920's due to polio --- this is truly interesting.
I am going to read on ~ Oh how I love your writing. ~

Rumor but nearly a centuryago and in the Australian bush life was very sheltered, especially for spoilt little Olive.

lionreign it is difficult to find but parents do have to be responsible for preparing a child for the world. This little girl never got that preparation.

Your writing this in the first person made me think at first it was autobiographical; but of course this is impossible as you must have been born long after the first world war. It's an effective technique though.

Wow! Too scary! It makes us better but I wish for more preparedness, too! I try to help my young adults by pointing out my mistakes, but mainly they have to check it out themselves! I think at times there is no winning this game of life! Have a fantastic day my Kabu, my number ONE (1) Blogger! Love you, too! Your sam I am

Illness certainly changes a child's perspective on things, doesn't it. It couldn't help but to shape your character.

I lived in a Harriet and Ozzie family and we never saw any tragedies and my parents both learned to balance the budget, but my mom was a perfectionist and didn't teach me anything about being a mom, so I went from my parents home to being a wife and mom with very little knowledge and that is why I am the way I am now. I spend money foolishly as for eleven years I made good money after suffering with very little after my divorce. Wow I think I am writing my life on your blog
