I'm awfully sorry to hear that! But as has been suggested already - there are ways to get at things that appear to be 'lost'!
I was in a similar situation once, but my computer guru saved most of my data, although it took him some time...And ever since then I've been storing important stuff on a seperate external storage thingy...

I am so sorry Sammie... but Ash is right... Thre are ways to extract data from hardrives and perhaps not all its been lost... Here we have the Geek Squad... They come to the house and do it for a fee... or you can take it to Office Deppot or Best Buy... I don't know if you have these where you are but there has to be something similar if not. Don't give up sweetie... I will pray it resolves . xoxoxo

that's terrible...perhaps there is a way to recover the lost data...may be that guy wasn't such an expert...take the computer to a computer store and have them check it out before you give up...if that fails, then try to accept the loss and learn from it...periodically save your files on floppy disks, best wishes, Ash

Oh MEDEAR! What to tell you? I too I'm lost for words....to loose everything like that, poor you. These confusers, they are a marvel when they work but....what a mess they can make. I'm sending hope and courage.
