I find this a recurring theme in my own poems
as in in "Festival of Peace" in
The Washington Poems:
Or mocking eyes of soulless beauty
which can not stop their play to love?
You have struck a common nerve, my friend.
Well done!

NO SURPRISE
Very nice - well said in just a few words. Are you always able to say so much in so few words? Maybe, too, it's because some of us can understand so easily what it is you're saying. As a writer, I think sometimes we are more sensitive - maybe more susceptible TO getting our hearts broke(?). Does this make any sense to you....very nice poem. Sad - nice:). -Sincerely -INAHA (Diana Evans)
