Re: Re: isiS_Eyes
Amen, Sistah!  I'm a night owl too, except for now I have bears and mountain lions to contend with, so I'm less likely to step out after dark.  I used to smoke like a chimney.  It's amazing how good things smell once you get that crap out of your lungs.  It's also amazing how much you notice the stenches.  Cigarette smoke turns me absolutely green now.

Re: isiS_Eyes
It's just that a smoker can't really smell when things smell like smoke because it's already in their breathing aparatus.  He would have said something like, "There's nothing wrong with that," because it didn't look dirty.  I wouldn't have gone if I had to take him along.  LOL.  I like getting out by myself at night...always have.

I almost said I wouldn't have done it for him, but then realized how hypocritical that would be!  Of course I would have. These boys of mine have not a clue what it takes to keep them clean, healthy, and safe, no matter that I get after them every day about their chores.

It's too bad your son couldn't just go with you to the laundromat.  Maybe he could even drive.

Aren't you lucky to have such a caring son. Just call him: Mommy!

TAPS,
A mom's dedication to her child never ends.  If more parents were as devoted as you are, our children would be in better shape.

Lucky thing I read all the comments before I wrote mine.
I was going to say what they said. So you still have the power to inspire love and fear. Life is good...

You must be a very kind-hearted mum. Assuming that his is in good health, I think, I'd have asked him to go and do his own washing.

Sush... That is a sweet man. I would have worried about you too had I known you were out that late in a laundromat alone. What are we to do with you. You give that sweet son a hug and kiss form this old grandma who still believes in men protecting women.

Taps - they really do look cute when angry at some stage after your anger has subsided..LOL. Mothers always spoil their sons and I have a fine example there of my mom!

awwww Taps... that was sooo sweet... For him to worry about you like that and for you go all the way across town to make him feel good... Love is so rare now a days... we should cherish it in all its forms and that is what I see in between your likes... love love love... Oh and I don't think its wrong that you are doing his laundry... he is your baby... he will always be that :-)  Sweet :-)  xoxoxo

I agree with Ciel.  Can't he do his own laundry?  Though in this case, I guess the cig smell from his comforter bothered you more than it did him and typical guy, he would have let it go like that forever!!  But I do also agree with everyone who said you need to watch out.  Don't want to lose our beloved Taps!!!!  Mal

Aha! The roles have been reversed! I agree, a woman is the proper medicine! I am out trying to read so I hope this posts! Very well written, too! You have reminded me that I need to do this for I have a son at home who needs a woman, too! lol sam

Or you could probably let him do his own laundry.
At least, he could accompany you on the midnight run...  He is not, afterall, entirely wrong about the 24-hour laundromat safety issue--unless it has a lifeguard.

Well, like your son I wish you wouldn't do that ALONE, it's just not safe in these times.

how wonderful that he loves you so much and is there for you as you are for
him. To lose a child completely is a terrible grief, enjoy your bossy mate.
