My goodness, TAPS. I was cringing just reading this. It takes my irrational fear of hobo spiders to a whole disturbing new level. Plus it (sort of) puts into perspective the pine beetle infestation we're having here, except that pine beetles destroy forests.
Creepy creepy.

OH No... I hate skorpies and I have this obsessive fear of them when I travel to the hill country --- where all the rocks and ewww...I hate them. I have this dread fear - and so you're telling me that extermination will not rid them? OY!!! I will use the secret of your son when I go there again...a hammer and a flashlight and roach spray - oh yes, and a chicken

(a kitty won't kill them?) - Oh I get chill bumps thinking of them skorps. So glad you blogged today -

Not me. I just didn't want to go into that here. LOL.
You haven't been posting lately. Is that because you have been working too hard while you are unemployed?

OMG Taps, I wouldn't go anywhere where I could find scorpion in my pajamas. We do have the odd, poisenous snak here in Turkey and I take good care not to stray into any underbrush. As for the rest of your post: happy dancing!

Guess I'll get me a chicken to take with me to Phoenix. But, I wonder what I will do with it the rest of the year. Somehow I can't imagine Pitiful being pals with an old hen.

The "Scorpion Chronicles" reads like a science fiction thriller.
Maybe it's the phase of the moon or the steady rain, but crawling back in bed and ignoring the phone and all other forms of communication sounds like a little slice of heaven today.
I just put together a crockpot of Mama's Incidental Chili, which promises eventual comfort. It started with a pound of hamburger that had to be cooked today or else. I added onions and peppers, didn't have chopped tomatoes so I used a jar of pizza sauce, then an envelope of Knorr's dried vegetable soup, a can of black beans and a small can of corn. It's beginning to look and smell like yum. I may not have to go outside for a couple of days.

A scorpion invasion – who knew? I’d be a little reluctant myself about visiting somewhere where I might have to fend off a scorpion. EEEKS….

Re: hahahaha, Justi
You know, my sinus problem today may be because I went for a long walk in the rain yesterday without an umbrella and without anything on my head. I came back with totally soaked hair. I keep forgetting that I'm not young anymore and can't do the things I did when I was young without some kind of repercussions.

I haven't thought of sleeping with a hammer since I divorced my first husband. I agree it is not a good habit. Hope you feel much better soon. I'll say prayers for you and the scorpion infestation.
