I've gone through a similar experience
and am sure that such hurtful, sweeping rejection comes from the divorcer wanting to justify their actions.
Don't let them define your marriage or you!

Oh WOW this is descriptive. I would have to think that he was only speaking from the moment. NO ONE lives without some semblance of happiness. I am divorced; and realizing that there were times when we were happy, when we laughed, and it was good. A very feeling, emotional post and I thank you.

How unfortunate to learn that with all the time invested! We are entitled to happiness, I hope you have found yours! I was never happy in my marriage and held it for 17 years, always wondering why I hadn't left earlier! sam
