Re:
I'm not preaching here....just telling it how it is for me..my husband still smokes.  For me it was a personal choice... and never once did I say everyone should quit. I think maybe you're a bit touchy (justifiably) because lets face it...the media is against smokers and tend to pound their drums a bit hard....I think smoking bans in bars is crap and anyone should be able to smoke outside...there's plenty of air for everyone. So before you judge me based off of what you think I'm thinking, or believe,...ask.

Now listen and listen carefully: I smoke, always have, always will. I have no intention of giving up. I'm 64 years old, weigh 110 pounds, have a kick boxing black belt, swim 30-40 lengths every day and am generally fit as a fiddle. I don't smell like an ashtray either, "Opium" takes care of that. What I never do however is to try and influence anybody one way or another. Everybody is free to make their choice. I only wish the non smokers would apply this principle to us who still enjoy their ciggies!

Never did the smoking thing because of my congenital heart murmur
and its one restriction being drummed into me from childhood.

However, the maple donuts I could go for.  Then a nice long hike to work it off and clear my head.

Congratulations on becoming one of the no-smoking tribe. That happened to me 30 years' ago. It was hard to begin with; I remember the craving for a cigarette after a meal and at parties. Now, just a whiff of somebody else's cigarette makes me feel queazy.
