vogue, lightning struck a tree in my front garden.
It fell over from about eight feet up the trunk. We cut it down to three feet tall, the trunk, that is. It still had the perfect root system intact and began to feed the new baby branches. It is now, 6 months later or so, about twelve feet high and bushy.

vogue
We have one back in India, sitting under which Lord Buddha attained to enlightenment. It's still there, 2600 years old. Astounding isn't it? You must, if you can, have this too, as your collection item.

Who couldn't love a tree.  I also have a collection of tree pictures.  There's nothing as spectacular as an aging tree.

Beautiful - and universal.  If everyone just stuck to tending to trees (and their fruit) the world would be at peace!  Mal

Vogue - you & TAPS should pool your tree pictures and make a coffee-table book. Trees to  me are comfy, warm and so-o-o-o mysterious! Ref: your comment on my post : 2 fans maybe for now, but wait until your book gets out there and people start reading it - the number will jump! I was actually thinking about doing a single post on yours, Pat-B's and Wiley's books....I fear I might not do them justice.

Beautiful collection of tree pictures.

Thanks for your comment. I sent the link to a number of my usual victims who are always delighted when anybody writes an objective article about Esperanto. However as they are very busy people, whether they  visit the page is 50 - 50.
