I make a mean pumpkin soup.  It does take a long time though... but well worth it when one is enjoying it :-)   Pumpkin pie is in contrast easy and quick  and what about pumpkin dumplins???   Mmmmmm  and another fringe benefit of cooing or baking pumpkin is the wonderful smell it leaves in the kitchen   ... to me it is Autumn...

Re: ~Elyse
I think you can make pie and pumpkin bread out of any of them and out of any squash.  I love a good pumpkin bread with a little whipped cream cheese.   mmmmmm

TAPS, I've just found this blog --- I need to scroll down more on all blogs ~ and I adore these prayers.  You know about pumpkins...do you think these new colored ones would make a pie as well?  the sage green ones and the white-creamy ones and even those turban styled ones?  I love pumpkins and instead of Halloween - I celebrate Harvest.  and I will agree, McDonalds will make one 'fat' - Just adore this blog ~ Elyse

I love the soft, but brutal, reality of your prayers; especially when you size them up against His gifts! sam
