Thanks so much for your comments!  I can hardly wait for the flight back--hoping for an equally clear day to try out the new camera with its 24x zoom, compared to this one's that is actually 10x,( though I stated it as 15x elsewhere...)

As I look at these on another monitor

I see these photos are much darker and deeper-colored than on my laptop...  I never know how they will look to other monitors!
