Re: If you were to uncover the activities of a lot of people with an "A"
Not at all. I have discredited the likes from Edwards to Sanford to Letterman just recently. When it comes to adultery the political affiliation makes no difference to me. You must remember that it must be proven first, I am not talking about hearsay. In just the three names above you have all three admitting to it. No hypocrisy here on this topic. For some reason people seem to think that when a Christian commits adultery then it is really big. Everyone sins. Your son likes to portray a silly notion that I have a problem with sex, ha! I love it and always will love it with my wife. It is the sick and twisted ways that people adopt along with their sex life that is the problem. I above all others will never say that anyone is without sin but such as Letterman, it does not matter if it is concensual or not, that is not a good idea within the work place. Funny how Letterman said it has hurt his wife greatly yet soem of you seem to think it is no big deal. Gee, I guess you then need to talk to Mrs. Letterman then you will understand what I mean.

If you were to uncover the activities of a lot of people with an "A"
personality like Letterman probably has (you need that to get to the top wherever you are), I am very sure you would discover that many of them (doesn't matter if it's liberal or conservative, Christian or non-Christian), have engaged in similar acts. This is the nature of the dominant male, to have sex with as many females as possible so as to perpetuate his own line, his own genes.
That being said, then, do I detect a bit of hypocrisy here? That is, are you refusing to condemn and point out the "indiscretions" of conservatives? I remember a few good juicy stories.

In addition to seconding Sam444, I believe there is too much okay given to the sick in Hollywood and of that persuasion who believe sex is not a serious act... It is so hurtful to so many. He is really sick!

I have never watched Letterman for I think he is boring! I get this from clips I have seen! I find it hard to believe women would get in bed with him! lol on him! sam

On Polanski, rape is rape and he needs to be held accountable! If it were my daughter I would never rest until the thug [champagne, qualudes, rape and sodomy, in jail forever] And he would not have had a career if he had not run away like a coward! Anyone who takes a child for their own perveted sexual gratification is less than human for me! If anyone thinks that the original 42 days of jjail fit the crime is totally mistaken! IMO!

Re: silly RedMan, everyone on Earth cheats, your favorite guys and gals
Not me. I have more morals and smarts than worthless slime such as liberals. Thanks for admitting the liberal political thought comes from their own practices in life. Thanks for admitting that liberals will be the downfall of this society. For me, I take the vow to my wife seriously. I am not a liar or adulterer. I guess liberals could care less about liars. All liberals are nothing more than the children of the devil and one day the devil and his children will be defeated.
Your comment is as pathetic as it gets. Useless people with no morals or shame at all. Typical liberals. I am not sure what you meant by my favorite guys and gals but I do not excuse adultery at all whether they are conservative or liberal. It is wrong. I can not imagine anyone willing to accept the other.

As a Christian I would find for me, about everything Letterman does is wrong, gutless, slim like and not what I should do. Having said that, he is not a Christian and he has no obligation to do what is right. If one breaks the law that one should be punished to the fullest; however, as for morals theirs are outside the Christian jurisdiction. If their behavior does, because they are popular, cause Christians, to feel it is fine for them to do this then their sin is on his head. Unless he repents and becomes a son of God one more drop of sin will probably not hurt him, he is headed for a disfavorable eternity without exception. There is not value in the judgement handed in court. God's judgement is the only one that counts.

RSM, could you tell me what Letterman did that was wrong?
He had consensual sex with women... really, could you tell me why that is such a bad thing? During most of the run of the show he was single, I guess he got married this year. Unless evidence comes forward that he forced those women to have sex with him, which as far as I can see that is NOT what happened, this is really you over reacting more than ever. I get it, you don't like Letterman. But thanks to this, his show is going to be bigger than ever and he is not going anywhere. But you can keep on preaching about it and helping build up his popularity.
You really have some issue with sex it seems.
As for Roman Polanski, what he did
30 years ago was wrong. He was tried for his crime and a plea bargain had been agreed to, but the judge was going to screw him over for the publicity of it all. The judge was it the wrong and should have allowed the plea bargain. Now, 30 years later it is the height of stupidity to bring it all up again. It is causeing harm to the victim, who would love nothing more than for no one to ever bring those events up again. She has said as much. So by this case coming back into the spotlight, justice is not going to be served. Nothing of value for anyone is going to come from this. All it will do is negatively impact several people's lives. There is no form of real justice than can come of this now.
