I hope it works out for you, but am concerned that you wrote this seven days ago and nothing since. Be well, my friend.

With you, azur. I know some days are just such days but they pass over...

Does "writing" include spray painting their building?...

Here is a rose
it might not help but it can't hurt.

I wish that I could wave a magic wand in your direction and have it do some good.  But, since that doesn't work for me, I'm sending special thoughts your way.
P.S.  I like Pat_B's advice.

Take a day off. Go to an art museum or some local galleries.

Don't answer your phone or emails. Don't write anything. Have a nice glass of white wine and some grapes and cheese at a sidewalk cafe. Pretend you're in Paris, leisurely watching the street scene. Maybe an angel will come by and bless you, like one did me one Seattle day several years ago.

Tomorrow you can page through Writer's Market, find one of the publishers who's in direct competition with the fool who turned down your novel, and fire it off to them. Tell them you're available to help sell the book, for interviews on NPR or book signings at City Lights or other bookstores. Include a decent photo of yourself.

Concentrate on what's here and now in your hand, fortune and tide change.

Amazing how many things either settle themselves or lose their priority if you give them a little slack.

Do something physical and sensory with care (how about some loose tea, hot toast with melting butter and a little jam or honey done just right?), look out the window and just let your subconscious roll.

That’s awesome. Any mood should spark brainstorming. Good luck. BC-A, Bill’s RJJst

As you know I have had a tough go of it, too! I did have the advantage of an income, not huge, but there is enough to cover everything! So, I think when it comes to the point that existence, in a comfortable manner, is trying when one is attempting to provide food and shelter; therefore spill the tears, it is a good release! But, you must believe that it going to be okay and then you can move forward! I have you in my prayers! My dear friend you mean a great deal to me and I will pray for your success! You are the most deserving person I know! Hang in there, it will be good in the long run! sam
