This rework was a treat to read! Well worth the retooling! Your flow and rhyme scheme made almost perfect transitions throughout!

sam     This is a most Superlative poem.  And it captures much of my own attitude.  For me, especially, carpe diem has strong meaning.   joab

And so very human, let others seize the day, I am too old or young or tired...  brilliant

When we leave things to other people we show we trust them too.

Very perceptive Shelly! I like the idea of carpe diem, but as you rightly say, there's a time and age for everything! Thanks for your generous note on my post. Being a full fledged article, it's a bit long, sorry! I will post one on sources of antioxidants too, maybe after editing/shortening a bit! Hope you're doing well. Love and blessings. Nita.

What a creative poem and yes, let others have it... I just can't do it anylonger...rush is not for me, I work best when I work - slow and methodically; in order to keep organized.  Great read. ~ ~Elyse

that's just how I feel when Monday morning they all rush off to work
and I am retired.

Yes, let others have it when they can and I can't.  Too old, too young it all works for me at times. Great thought for real life.

Yes, let others seize it.
Well today at least.

What a great one for me at my time in life.  I'm afraid that so often this is me now when it once was not so, and should not be even now:
"Age works so handily for me, an escape
from my chosen reality, an escape that pleases me."
