I absolutely don't love it when waitstaff include themselves in the
dining conversation!

You can reconcile the differences - if you want to! I like your remark about 'someone likes, others will.' Strangers joining in personal conversations is something that never happened in Scotland, but here it happens even in queues (line-ups).

You being you, there is nothing to do but to keep on persistently applying,
writing, pondering, and moving forward, one one eighth of an inch at a time.....until the veil lifts, the mist dissipates and the writing world rediscovers you and your talents.
In the meantime, that tea and window gazing sounds healing, restful, good for you. Or, buy a lottery ticket and this time, pick the winning numbers.

I like this post. It reminds me of the many branches on a tree
that's been growing for several summers. The creative differences thing gave me an idea for a blog about my stubborn, intractable self. I think your near misses are narrowing the distance and you're about to hook right on to the center.

I think when there are differences, very few know how to handle them! I can appreciate loss for I had differences with a dear friend that can never be changed, cured, only forgiven! Don't be hard on yourself, after, Unsaid needs your attention! I believe that one is a winner! sam

Dang on the job, though!

There's a lot of tidbits in this one post. That makes it hard to comment, because I feel like my would-be comments are jumping around trying to find one on which to land. I landed on the things that you picked as a gift for your friend. Now I want to go out and find those same things for a friend of my own.
