Re: Perfectlty expresses....
Yep. It's that beauty in the eye of the beholder thing...

Perfectlty expresses....
...how we are conditioned by language and association, to attach feelings and meanings by prejudice, to things which ought to be appreciated as they are without labels giving them a spin.

Sigh.

Darson,
Wow, a parallel, I was just thinking of dandelions.  It must have been an "adult", because little girls have been making necklaces of them for years and years.  I love your thoughts!

Re: merkie
LOL! Me, too. I guess if you read up on them, their healing properties are tremendous, too...heals everything from liver problems to depression. Go figure! That's one heck of a 'weed'!

Re: sam444
Thank you, Sam! Dandelions are special to me, too....they go way back. My mother loved them, I used to be obsessed with them...every year I would weave bracelets, necklaces and crowns made of the blooms and stems. One of my family's grand children was placed for adoption and we just met her last year. She was showing us pictures of her while growing up, and in one of them she was in a field of dandelions, surrounded by yellow blooms. She was about three and her chubby hands were grasping hundreds of them in a bouquet. It was in her blood. She said for some crazy reason she just couldn't get enough of them... We all started to cry...she'd been with us in spirit all along. We were all connected through our love of a 'flower'!

Oh my goodness, this is tremendous! When my daughter was two she brought me her first flower and it was a dandelion! I immediately put it in water!  She brought me the first 'flower' of the Spring for many years! Then one day she came in with a beautiful dandelion and promptly said, "Why didn't you tell me this was a weed?" And I said, "And miss the first flower of the Spring from my pretty little girl, never!" She is 22 and I still get the first flower of the Spring in my home! This was such a great read for me! Blessings to you and have a glorious day! sam
