We were okay, but now we have a few here in Ontario as well - apparently they are getting chased out of Ohio...

I haven't noticed an unusual amount in Oregon. If we eat outside there are always a few around though.

Here in Texas we always have the mud daubers, wasps, bees (some, the size of a small house) and now, in my fields I have these huge cicada killers...talk about a buzz. I think they are from the planet oz or something, yes, like flying monkeys.

Just stay sweet and be certain to steer quietly 'round these creatures/critters. ~Elyse

No problem here in my area of Quebec, so far. My ex was very allergic to wasps; he has to carry around an antidote always. When he would be annoying, I would threaten to find a nest....LOL

shelly_b, well, they have sure taken over our province of Ontario..
they're even out and about after dark! No wonder both bees and spiders popped into my mind as good subject material for a fiction fiction story..

..although I hope they don't seek revenge when I'm finished...
