Oops, I mistook noteapoet's comment for yours on Xeno's blog...hahaha, so much for communication, especially from this self-proclaimed master :)...anyway, that book I cited is for everybody, and if you have the time, I'd still highly recommend it.

Btw Red, as you suggested on that post by Xeno, please do write your stories on your blog, I'm sure they'll be fascinating, please try to stay civil though, if nothing do it for my sake..okayyy...the first beer will be on me :)..also, please do read my long comment on racism on Xeno's blog and let me know what you think, best wishes

Oh, yes Justi! I do believe states rights was a major reason behind that war. You are correct as usual. All you hear was about how every white person strung slaves every day and whipped them. That misconception could not be further from the truth. On my grandaddy's land about a half of a mile from the house there is a gravesite of our family memebrs on one side of a hill. Fifty yards adjacent to it is a gravesite of the slaves. LOL, on the barn!

However, I will say I will never apologize for anything my family has done nor will I take any junk from anyone as well. That was a different time and no liberals or anyone else today lived back then of course so...know what I mean? What I conveyed in this post is exactly how and a little about who I am. I wanted Dr. Condi Rice to run for president and would really enjoy supporting J.C. Watts for a higher office. It is all about what is right in this day and age. Has nothing to do with race. I agree with Joe Wilson, obama is a liar and has been one on everything that comes ouit of his mouth. These are things I said about the Clinton's as well so the whole race issue is just another looney thing from liberals.

You are such a straight up person. You tell it like it is. I am so totally sick of what I see some places here. My great grandfather was killed at Gettysburg. The war was not about slavery. It was about the economy. They have so distorted our history it is disgusting. In the Civil war as a whole I have a great number of relatives killed. We never owned a slave. I think that is a very good choice. How could you trust one to walk to the barn much less feed the animals?

my friend, my comment here is unrelated to this post but is related to your almost civil dialogue on Xeno's blog, where I just learnt for the first time that your heritage is Native American.

One of my favorite writer / philosopher is Don Miguel Ruiz, whose very popular book "The Four Agreements" is full of practical wisdom. I've read & re-read it, try to live by it, and am including it in the select bibliography of my upcoming poetry book "Cosmic Reflections". In case you haven't read it, I would highly recommend it.
