The emphasis is on the over-abundance of heartache and tears -- not on riches -- and the results that would be realized If money and time could be gained in their stead. I appreciate your comments. I do hope and with great anticipation look forward to taking that walk on the streets of gold.  This poem, however, is not about striving for riches, but speculation about what could be the result if converting the agony and heartache of love into youth and happiness and tears into riches could be accomplished.
