Naut, I love the way you put your finger on things -- both sides of the fence is spot on!  Yes, I have opened my big mouth on occasion. Fortunately brain change has turned my urge to share my truth and damn the torpedoes to a bit less impulsive.

Yep - I have a 'friend' like that too. Needless to say, we hardly ever see each other anymore. There is a thin line between being direct and being ignorant. She can waste someone else's time. By the way, Pat-B, I've been catching up, but instead of commenting on all the posts here, I left comments on each one.

Pat
An excellent account of the reaction to a moment we have all experienced - on both sides of the fence...

I think "intent" comes into play here.....some people aren't aware of the impact they make on others, because they are focused too much on themselves......do you think it was intentional?

Re: elinjo -- I had a friend like that...
I guess we're all oblivious to how we come across to others sometimes.  I've wasted a little breath before I found out it's pointless.

Oh dear!  I said the wrong thing a few minutes ago about Corbin's face on your Lady in Red.

Yes, I had a friend like that. Somehow I've never been able to get myself to explain to her, why I don't have time to see her anymore. Perhaps it's because there's no point in wasting my breath.
