I think that's a very good expression of what Born Again means to those who follow that path. I don't, believing in a higher being of my own imagination is enough for me, but I certinly can understn the need and symbolism of Born Agains.

Re: my poem, "Birth"
I'm actually referring to spiritual rebirth in this poem, being born again as a Christian. A few years ago, I became a follower of Christ and I wrote this poem about what it felt like to be born in the spiritual sense. Words like "in the dark, reaching out" represent the desire I had to escape my life of sin. "A force that thrives on hiding me" refers to the devil's intentions to stop me from accepting Jesus into my life. Having faith in Jesus and believing in his promise of eternal salvation in Heaven is what it's all about: "needing air and water, but the promised gift is so much more". Thank you so much for reading my poem and for welcoming me to Blogit! Peace!

You seem to be referring to reincarnation in the last lines, am I mistaken? Welcome to Blogit. I enjoyed reading your poem.
