Will,
Before I met my ex-wife, I met another extremely strange, clueless woman, who told me that she had just graduated from the Univ. of Colorado, with a degree in home ec, of domestic sci, or whatever she called it. She proudly told me that she could feed a family of four, on $1.30 a DAY! Now this was in 1970, and money went much farther then, but can you imagine what she served those four miserable people, for mealtime? Portions the size of a walnut, beans, brown rice, pasta w/nothing, grass sandwiches, and once a week, a water glass, of water (what ELSE?) with half a spoon of sugar in it, for a treat?!!! She was very thin, and I could certainly see why. Even though we only lived two buildings apart, I managed to NEVER run into her again. Once I saw her heading my way on the sidewalk, but I found a hiding place, until she had walked past! I think that she had set her sights on ME, to make that poor unfortunate "family of four," WITH! Oh the HORROR!
