Sometimes the ones who've never really experienced illness
have no sympathy for those who are dealing with chronic pain or debilitating conditions. Same thing for those who've never lost anyone close to them -- since they haven't felt the personal blow they don't empathize. Sooner or later, unfortunately, they will. Time wounds all heels.
