Did you know that "Christ" is a title, and not really a name?  We acknowledge that "Christ" is his name because there is only one.

There are scraps of information that could be about Jesus, and certainly many people hope that they are. But there is still no proof, outside of the New Testament (which is proof only if you believe it is non-fiction and accurate.)

Again, I'm not saying that Jesus didn't exist. I'm saying that believing he did is a matter of faith.

King Arthur was a real person that there is some documentation of, and there have been a lot of stories told about him that you would have to have a lot of blind faith to believe they were true. Beyond the New Testament there is some evidence that Jesus was a real person. It does not go into much of what he did, but I have looked it up and done the research.

Are you sure you believe Jesus was a real person? Because the only place where such a person living the life he lived and dying the death he died can be found is in the New Testament. Many people try to connect records from the time with the Jesus found in the New Testament, but there is no record that such a person lived except for gospels.

Chrisitans have faith that the New Testament was written, and written accurately, but Jesus' followers, if not his actual deciples, then their students. They have faith that the stories about Jesus' life, teachings, death and resurrection are the same stories that were told during his life and immeditately after his death. They have faith that these are the real stories of a real person.

Sometimes people say, "I think the teachings of Jesus are great, but I don't like the way they were recorded in the gospels." Well, the only place his teachings were recorded is in the gospels!

Please note: I am not Christian. I have no agenda behind posting this besides wanting to point this out.
