Very true!
I have always thought that prayers of thanks must be the most sincere... even then, to cleanse oneself of ulterior motive must be a difficult thing

I pray for my every need knowing that I have only god to ask, the moment my
dad gone from this world, I am more depend to god than ever......because I can not ask my needs to anyone else, because I do not want to be a burden to anyone....so I number every need and place to god for his will and wish......so I have the peace.....

Even when it is done ritualistically? I feel that it is more of a relationship that matters rather than worship. God has no ego!

"true worship and an honest submission"...yes, that's what God wants
from us...I always remember a song that (condensed) says, "What can I give to my Lord but a true heart?"
