Re: I-R-Williams-Congratulations, and good for you.
Thanks Wiley, I'm glad to see you are "Up and at'em" That is a great job you are doing on both counts. A very big achievement on your part. You should be (and have every right to be) proud of your accomplishments. Hell, I'm proud of you. Thank you for the kind words.

Re: Kabu -I have to lower my cholesterol so I am working out in the garden
Walking is healthier than running in my case, due to the path I sometimes take. 1/4 mile of my route lies alongside a busy highway. I always face the traffic, of course, so I can get out of the way of errant drivers on their way to work. Working in a garden is good for your health (physical and mental) or so I'm told. I've seen some of your pics, and wish I had started one earlier this year. I'll write about my garden attempts soon. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Re: sam444
Thanks Sam. I have always been a nut when it comes to paperwork and such. Mindset is tougher by a longshot. Sometimes I wish doing the exercises were as easy as the paperwork. LOL

I-R-Williams

Congratulations, and good for you. This was a fascinating blog for me, because four months ago I started just walking after I'd had a serious heart attack and had 2 stents installed.

At first I couldn't walk up my 300' driveway, I had to stop twice. Now I wear a pedometer in my shoe to count the steps and kilometers, I do over 3km a day and usually 5000 to 10,000 steps a day and I record that every day.

I've been committed to sobriety for the past over 41 years, so I truly relate to your positive and helpful post my friend

I have to lower my cholesterol soIam working out in the garden and loving

it. Like today when the humming bird is feeding at my blooms. Later when it snows I will increase my treadmill work out.

Good luck whith what you have started and I feel you will keepgoing.I think walking is healthier than running.

I know you will succeed because you have it fixed firmly in your mind and on paper! Commitment is a tedious undertaking but the rewards are so marvelous! Good wishes for success to you! sam

Re: I make life easy for me.
going with the flow is good too.  I prefer to call it "take a look around and see which way the wind blows" lol

I make life easy for me. My goal is to improve my health. So once I'm doing something for health I'm happy. Some days, I just eat the right foods and take my herbs. When I can exercise, I do. Yoga gives quick health results. Then I have a rebounder. Then I simply walk some days. Its less easy to fail this way and it doesn't call for the same repetitious drill everyday. I call it going with the flow! lol
