Interesting subject matter...
and from what I've learned could be a possiblity...we're living in the most difficult times in history and at this point this is a fiasco that is certainly plausible. Personally, I don't think such a situation could be resolved by one human or human government. I do believe a higher power would have to step in.  I think we live in a time where if you truly believe in God he would be a good source, the best and the ultimate source to turn to.  Just an opinion and thank you for the food for thought.

Some politicians have their own agenda they think of first, so, sorry to say I don't have faith in them fixing to much. The transition would be interesting for sure. As Billy Joel sang,  "honesty is such a lonely word". Whether it's credit, cash, or check, you've heard the saying, "money is the root of all evil. On a positive note, the world would be a lot scarier without democratic leadership and guidance in a free society.

Former

Some communities work very well on the barter system.  It’s a growing trend that I like but given there are no taxes paid when a barber cuts your hair in exchange for  some fresh produce from your garden, for example, the government doesn’t think it’s such a great idea,  However, I think it's time we start considering the merits of the barter system.

I believe a cashless society is coming.  In Revelations it tells about how no one will be able to buy, sell or trade without the "mark".  It sounds like an implant to me.

When I first joined the bank (I'm an ex banker) more than 2 years ago, we took an extensive training course called "Towards a Cashless Society"; but then the economic crisis erupted and so suddenly people were in love with cash again they don't even trust any other form of money or credit anymore. Cash became so dear during the financial crisis some people actually saved it "under the pillow" and didn't even trust banks anymore.

Some say that a cashless society is coming. Its what the elites want. In its place would be an implanted RFID chip which receives or pays automatically. Problem is that they can be cloned easily!

I doubt it will be eliminated! A form of cash has always been used! sam

Whatever happens in the future, about cash or anything else, I hope that I will be able to adapt instead of just giving up.

It's well on its way. Even door to door collectors for charity are sometimes asked if they will accept credit card contributions!
