Nice poem..
My son loves to ride to school (still with his dad jogging behind him every morning).. He traded in his old (little) bike with a new one (better match with his current size) with the money he received from family (especially grandparents) during the last 2 years.. I am preparing myself (read: dreading) for the time when he is ready to ride alone to school..

Good post, sam..

My modest ride reached 5 miles to the western part of this county many years ago. And then my father rode my bicycle a Murray with built in top tube headlights. I see them in New York but worry about the traffic. However I like it love. BC-A, Bill*s Cyberspace Hotlink

I can just see you out there talking to the bikes, polishing and shining them to a brightness according to the pleasure they bring you. Loved this.

Good idea to write a poem using bike imagery Shelly. What struck me was the reference to a rear mirror; a really brilliant idea. Not many bikes over here have rear mirrors; and they must be just as useful for cyclists as they are for motorists. Thanks for your visit and kind comment.

Now that's love.

Your bike passion is lovely, as is how much you care for the young riders and all.

I like that! I wasn't sure what the object was until the end, so it was a riddle. Cool!

The new bicycle lanes in our town are so narrow! And the old lane lines
are still visible so they confuse us drivers. God help the bicyclists!
