Nothing to apologize for and I'll pull for the Pats with you.  My team is going nowhere this season (although I hope they are building for the future).  One of the nice things about sports and friendships is that you can pull for or against a buddy's team with no hard feelings.  You can also sympathize or rub it in when a buddy's team loses, again with no hard feelings.  We seem to have quite a few Patriots' fans around, so I'll adopt them as one of my secondary favorites except when they play the Lions.

I apologize for my insensitivity
A win is a win. I am a fan of the 9-2 Pats. But I think they're gonna get whooped tomorrow by the Colts.

Thursday was just further evidence of what makes sports so much fun.  If the team that is supposed to win always wins there would be little reason to play the games.  One of the reasons so many people love sports is that it proves that sometimes the underdog can win.  Of course it occasionally bites you in the ass, when the underdog happens to beat one of your teams.  It isn't quite so much fun then, but that's why the die hard sports fan is always saying "wait till next year."  Sorry your teams lost, but I'm a happy camper these days any time the Lions win.

I would've lost my shirt
on those two games. I was sure the Packers would win but they couldn't stop the Lions offense. My Cowboys played like the "02 Cowboys and they deserved to lose. The only problem is that Miami is in the AFC east and I am a Pats fan. Oh well, that's the NFL.

I agree that there is nothing like the unconditional love of a trusting small child.  The football was just an added bonus.

Family and football!
How lucky were we?  I also spent some time rocking, my 4 month old needs some help falling asleep.  We even got to watch the games in HDTV.  It usually blacks out but not this time!
